# LinkedIn profile

> Enrich one LinkedIn profile at the provider's cost.

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://idle.datacircle.dev/linkedin/profile/?url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates/" \
  -H "Authorization: Token $DATACIRCLE_API_KEY"
```

Pick the provider with `provider` (default `iblinked`). Same API key, same credits:

| `provider` | Price (no markup) | Body |
| - | - | - |
| `iblinked` | \$0.001 per profile, free when not found | `data` with name, headline, location, current companies, ... |

Every response also has:

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `provider` | which provider answered |
| `cost_usd` | what this call cost: the provider's price, no markup |
| `balance_usd` | your balance after the call |

| Status | When |
| - | - |
| `200` | the profile; with `iblinked`, also a profile it can't find: `data.found` is `false`, not charged |
| `400` | no `url` query parameter, a `url` that isn't a LinkedIn URL, or an unknown `provider`; not charged |
| `401` | missing or invalid API key |
| `402` | your balance can't cover the call |
| `503` | the provider refused our own account (out of credit, key or rate limit on our side); try again later |

A profile Datacircle already holds may be answered from what is stored, at no cost. A stored answer is replayed for at most 30 days; after that the provider is asked again.
